Thank you for choosing Greenlight Payments (GLP) to be your merchant service provider. The intent of this addendum is to ensure that all businesses adhere to GLP’s Program Guidelines.
GLP’s Program Guidelines maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning the product types mentioned within this 3-page addendum. As part of the application process, we require this addendum to be signed by any merchant offering one or more of the following product types:
- CBD, or any other hemp derived cannabinoid
- Kratom
- Amanita Muscaria
Please read through the entire document to ensure that your business is fully compliant with all applicable guidelines. Failure to comply with these laws and regulations may result in fines and/or termination of your merchant account.
Website Requirements:
- Must not make any health claims or use the following terms in describing a product: “prevent”, “diagnose”, “mitigate”, “treat”, “cure”, or similar such terms. This applies to both merchant websites and social media.
- Must not sell or ship to regions where product ingredients are banned/illegal.
- Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy must be clearly
- Customer Service Contact must be clearly displayed. Two forms of Customer Service Contact are required (e.g., phone, email, and/or address).
To ensure compliance, GLP conducts ongoing monitoring of all online stores, along with social media sites, customer testimonials and blog posts. Ongoing compliance is a collaborative effort, however maintaining compliance is ultimately the merchant’s responsibility.
GLP must pre-approve all product additions before new products can be added to the website. Merchants will be expected to meet all guidelines as explained within this addendum and provide compliant COAs (when applicable).
GLP will hold a 10% reserve on all merchant accounts offering the products outlined in this addendum.
CBD (and other Hemp-Derived Cannabinoids)
All CBD/Hemp products must be compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill. Hemp is defined under the 2018 Farm Bill to include any cannabis plant, or derivative thereof, that contains not more than 0.3% Delta- 9 content.
Note: In the states of Idaho, New Hampshire, South Dakota – zero (0%) Delta-9 content is allowable by law. Products with any amount of Delta-9 content must not be shipped to these states.
GLP requires a full panel Certificate of Analysis (COA) for any product containing CBD/Hemp, or other hemp derived cannabinoids. All approved products must be derived from the hemp plant; GLP explicitly prohibits the sale of synthetic cannabinoids.
FDA Disclaimer must be clearly visible on home page and/or product pages.
Delta-8
All CBD guidelines (above) apply to Delta-8 products. In addition, each product page should contain the following disclaimer:
This product is not available for shipment to the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia
*Note: Products with any Delta-8 content must not be shipped to these states.
THCA
All CBD guidelines (above) apply to THCA products. In addition, each product page should contain the following disclaimer:
This product is not available for shipment to the following states: Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont
*Note: Products with Total THC content above 0.3% must not be shipped to these states.
Kratom
FDA Disclaimer must be clearly visible on home page and/or product pages. In addition, each product page should contain the following disclaimer:

*Note: Products containing Kratom must not be shipped to these states
American Express has taken the position not to allow payment processing for Kratom products. AMEX transactions will be disabled on all merchant accounts offering Kratom.
Amanita Muscaria
GLP requires a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for any product containing Amanita Muscaria. All COAs must include test results for: Muscimol, Ibotenic Acid, Psilocybin and Psilocin.
GLP does not accept any products containing Psilocybin or Psilocin. COAs must show a negative (not detected) result for these compounds.
*Note: Amanita Muscaria is deemed illegal in the state of Louisiana. Products containing Amanita Muscaria must not be shipped to the state of Louisiana.
Merchant Attestation and Signature
I hereby certify I have read and agree to strictly adhere to the guidelines stated above, and as outlined in the subsequent Exhibits below. I understand that failure to adhere to any of these requirements will result in the immediate termination of my merchant account.
